Summertime at The Street with A Trike Called Funk

Sat, June 4 | 2 PM - 4 PM

Dancin’ at The Street never felt so good. Pop by The Green, near Warby Parker, between 2-4 PM on Saturday, June 4, and enjoy a family-friendly pop-up street dance performance by local group, A Trike Called Funk! A Trike Called Funk is a quirky front-loading cargo tricycle converted into a pop-up party vehicle equipped with its own performance system. Stop by to watch a show or jump into the fun! Complimentary bubbles will be ready for the little ones (while supplies last!). See you at The Street.

About A Trike Called Funk:

A.a.Ron Myers and Ed Word Galan are a dynamic duo who share a love for music, dancing, and community building. In late 2019, BeanTown Lockers, a group which they are both members of, won a grant to put on a series of monthly pop-up performances for the following year. In 2020, A Trike Called Funk was conceived as an opportunity to connect with community in open-air environments. A.a.Ron and Ed believe that any time there’s a gathering of people there is an opportunity to induce beauty, generosity, creativity and magic. A Trike Called Funk is a vehicle that allows those things to emerge spontaneously and organically.
